International Yoga Day Celebrated at Mount Carmel CBSE School, Kadaganchi

Mount Carmel CBSE School, Kadaganchi, in collaboration with Carmel Jyothi Public Charitable Trust, meaningfully celebrated International Yoga Day on 21st June 2025, with great enthusiasm and active participation. The event was inaugurated in an eco-friendly gesture by watering a plant, led by Mrs. Sudharani (Yoga Instructor), Fr. William Miranda (Secretary, Carmel Jyothi Trust), and school head students Vinod and Aadra.

In his address, Fr. William Miranda emphasized yoga as an ancient Indian gift to the world, a powerful discipline that unites body, mind, and soul. He described yoga as a pathway to physical strength, mental peace, and inner stability, encouraging everyone to dedicate at least 10–15 minutes a day to yoga practice.

“A little yoga every day brings a lot of wellness your way!” he reminded the students, urging them to make yoga a regular part of life to build a healthier and happier India.

Mrs. Sudharani, the yoga instructor, conducted a live session, demonstrating a range of yoga postures while explaining their benefits and relevance. The session was efficiently supported by Mr. Sharanappa and Ms. Pooja Pote, the school’s Physical Education teachers.

The celebration saw the participation of over 1,200 students and teachers, who actively engaged in the yoga exercises and gained valuable insights into holistic well-being. This celebration reflected the school’s and Trust’s shared commitment to nurturing healthy lifestyles and promoting physical and mental well-being among young learners.
