Free Eye Check-up and Surgery Camp Held at Kadaganchi Health Centre

Kadaganchi, Aland Taluk: A free eye check-up and surgery camp was organized today at Kadaganchi Health Centre, Aland Taluk, in collaboration with Carmel Jyothi Public Charitable Trust (R), Kadaganchi, Anugraha Eye Hospital and Bhoruka Netralaya, Kalaburagi, District Blindness Control Programme, Kalaburagi, and Taluk Health Officer’s Office, Kadaganchi.
The camp was inaugurated by Taluk Health Officer Dr. Sushil Kumar Ambure by watering a plant. Speaking on the occasion, he said:
“We are all gathered here for the purpose of this eye camp. Words are not enough to express the importance of eyes in our lives. We say ‘Eyes are the windows of the mind.’ Seeing, learning, and understanding life is possible only through our eyes. Without eyes, the world is dark. Healthy eyes make life happy. If treatment is received at the right time, many eye diseases can be prevented.”
He further said that Carmel Jyothi Public Charitable Trust has been conducting many people-oriented programs in the taluk. Today, with the support of Anugraha Eye Hospital, they are bringing government schemes to the people. Through this camp, doctors have come here to identify eye problems and provide necessary treatment.
“I request everyone not to neglect eye problems. Get timely check-ups, take medicines, and undergo treatment. People’s health improves only when the government health department, doctors, and service organizations work together. Your cooperation is also essential. I thank all those who participated in this camp. May every person in our society experience the light of life through the light of their eyes.”
At the camp, 108 people were examined and 27 patients with cataract were selected for surgery.
